FLY-IN OR DRIVE-IN PANCAKE BREAKFAST: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

It’s almost time for Bessie’s Diner’s third annual Fly-in or Drive-in Pancake Breakfast at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Janesville, WI, where you can experience two of our favorite things: pancakes and planes. Enjoy breakfast with perfect views of all the airplanes flying in to visit.

HERE'S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU MAKE THE TRIP ON WHEELS OR WINGS:

Where can I purchase tickets?

Online or in person at Bessie’s Diner. Purchase tickets online here.

Once online ticket sales expire on June 18th, you will need to call us at 608-743-9830 to confirm if walk-in tickets are still available.

Is there a difference in cost if I get my tickets online vs. in person?

Nope! No matter where you purchase tickets, they’re $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 4-10 and all kids ages 3 and under are free.

What do I get with my ticket purchase?

All-you-can-eat pancakes, bacon or sausage, coffee, milk, and orange juice inside the diner or outside on the grass lawn.

Is this family friendly?

Absolutely! It's Father's Day weekend, so we hope to see the whole family out celebrating.

Will I see planes?

So many planes!

Can I purchase any souvenirs?

We have some Bessie’s Diner t-shirts and hats for sale. "Future pilot" shirts for kids and "Bessie was a badass" shirts for adults.

Will the inside dining room be open?

Yes, but we will only be serving the pancake breakfast for the day. Burgers and salads will have to wait... only pancakes during the pancake fly-in!

Where do I park my car? Or my plane?

Car parking is located right in front of the diner when you arrive. There will be plenty of aircraft parking not only on the ramp directly behind Bessie's but east and west of the terminal building, as well.

Can I walk out to see the airplanes?

Guests aren’t allowed to walk in the aircraft parking area unescorted. If a pilot chooses, they may escort someone to view their personal airplane.

Can I smoke at the event?

Smoking is prohibited on the ramp side of the terminal building. A smoking stand is available on the vehicle parking lot side of the terminal near the flagpole.

What happens if it rains?

In the event of rain, we’ll move inside to the conference rooms at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.
