MELITA JENSEN - GENERAL MANAGER

Melita Jensen - General Manager

Melita began her hospitality career at the age of 14 when she worked as a busser and host at the Liberty Inn in Beloit. Throughout her college days, she served in roles as a server and bartender at Buffalo Wild Wings. Demonstrating her dedication and skills, she was promoted to various management roles and eventually achieved the assistant general manager position.


After graduating from Blackhawk Technical College with a degree in criminal justice and psychology, Melita took a different path and joined the Rock County Sheriff’s Office. In the fall of 2021, she was recommended for the general manager position at Bessie’s Diner and returned to the industry she loved.

Melita’s favorite thing about Bessie’s is the unique atmosphere and getting to know the pilots and families that come in regularly.


ALEX LAVARIEGA - RESTAURANT MANAGER

Alexandra got started in hospitality from a young age. She began working at the Beloit Club and continued in the restaurant industry throughout high school and college. While in college, Alexandra found herself coming back home every break and most weekends to work at Bessie’s Diner. It was the people that kept drawing her back. She loves meeting the new faces that walk through the door, whether it’s a customer or a new team member joining, she loves listening to their unique stories.

That genuine love for connecting with others has been the driving force behind Alexandra’s growth from host to supervisor to her current role as restaurant manager.

She has proven to be natural in creating a warm and welcoming environment. Alexandra has also channeled her creativity into developing Bessie’s popular coffee flights, a project that has easily become one of her favorite ways to enhance guest experience.



STACEY FOLEY - KITCHEN MANAGER

Melita Jensen - General Manager

Stacey, originally from Beloit, now calling Janesville home, has built an impressive career from the ground up. Her journey began as a prep cook, where she advanced through the ranks at Mac’s Pizza and Milwaukee Grill. After exploring various roles in search of the perfect fit, she discovered her passion at Bessie’s Diner.


Starting as a server at Bessie’s, Stacey’s dedication and ability to lead quickly became apparent. She advanced to supervisor, then restaurant manager and now is leading as kitchen manager.

Stacey’s role ensures Bessie’s runs smoothly while maintaining our reputation of top-tier comfort food.
